Really delicious snacks- Ranch Oyster Crackers

.....Hankering for midnight chocolate cake

There are some nights especially those when I'm up late watching cup cake wars I get the rumble in my stomach for some chocolate cake! Rather than make a whole cake I have discovered an ingenious way to satisfy a craving!

Five minute Cake!!! All you need is a few simple ingredients a mug and a microwave! Delicious!
Here is a great recipe with clear instructions and detailed pictures! I suggest eat it warm with a scoop of ice cream and fresh strawberries!

Chocolate Cake in 5 Minutes!

Ingredients:

4 TB cake flour
4 TB sugar
2 TB cocoa
1 Egg
3 TB milk
3 TB oil
1 mug

Instructions:

1. Mix flour, sugar and cocoa
2. Spoon in the egg
3. pour in milk and oil, and mix well
4. cook in the microwave for three minutes

Things you should make rather than buy: Chocolate Sauce

Over the summer, largely due to the lack of food in my parents house, I have begun to be a bit more creative with my food decisions. Here's some cool recipes I have come across for those with bare pantries or just a desire to me more diy!

1. Homemade Chocolate Syrup (http://smallnotebook.org/2009/07/10/homemade-chocolate-syrup/)

This syrup is thick, rich and ridiculously simple. I can't believe that my family has been buying syrup my whole life this was easy!
I quartered the recipe to make a small test batch--used some to transform some vanilla ice cream to ice cream bliss and stored the rest in an old jar!

Happy cooking!

My not so new obsession

I have loved doing things myself for just about all my life! I am one of those crafty people that read Better homes and garden over Vogue. When I was little I collected cookbooks over the Magic Tree House books.

Here's some cool stuff I have come across! Enjoy!
