Things you should make rather than buy: Chocolate Sauce

Over the summer, largely due to the lack of food in my parents house, I have begun to be a bit more creative with my food decisions. Here's some cool recipes I have come across for those with bare pantries or just a desire to me more diy!

1. Homemade Chocolate Syrup (http://smallnotebook.org/2009/07/10/homemade-chocolate-syrup/)

This syrup is thick, rich and ridiculously simple. I can't believe that my family has been buying syrup my whole life this was easy!
I quartered the recipe to make a small test batch--used some to transform some vanilla ice cream to ice cream bliss and stored the rest in an old jar!

Happy cooking!
